74 Kenyans have been selected for the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneurship Programme. They are among 1000 entrepreneurs selected from 151000 Africans from 114 countries worldwide.
Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneurship Programme is a 12 week intense training that offers its trainees the opportunity to network and an avenue to get needed capital.
Business ideas on agriculture topped other sectors in applications at 30% followed by fashion at 12%. Other sectors in this year’s intake include ICT, education, media and entertainment, energy and power generation, health care, manufacturing, financial services among others.
The Tony Elumelu Foundation was started in 2010 by Nigerian billionaire and philanthropist Tony Elumelu. The aim is to spur African economic growth and prosperity through empowering entrepreneurship.
